# Roles and permissions

> What staff, team leads, support and admins can each do in RotaPad

Every RotaPad user has a role. The role decides what they can see and change. The rules are checked by RotaPad's server as well as in the app.

## Roles

* **Staff** - Care workers. They see and manage their own work.
* **Team lead** - Runs the week for a team.
* **Support** - Office staff who help run the rota and approve new staff.
* **Admin** - Full access, including approvals, invoices and settings.
